Breast Augmentation is performed as an outpatient procedure, allowing you to go home the same day. The procedure is performed under a general anesthetic. In most cases, they will begin to fade gradually and become barely noticeable. Minimal swelling and discoloration of the breasts will disappear rapidly. Asymmetry of the breasts may result from differences in the healing process on the two sides. Some degree of firmness of the breasts may occur for weeks or even months following surgery. In some instances, Dr. Rifley may recommend a program of breast massaging to promote softness.
